Xanga-December 29, 2005

Okay, enough with the pictures.
My mom and dad have got greedy and got a lawyer for my accident. I seriously am ready to tell him to stop and just accept the poor offer from the insurance company. I didn't get hurt. The insurance company is paying off my car loan and then I'll have some money to spare, too, even if the amount wasn't exactly what I would of liked. I found a new car and am ready to go. But having a lawyer is going to drag this out longer. I am seriously stressing, havn't been able to sleep and have been sick about it. I am so fed up!
I have been working a lot lately, too. But it hasn't been bothering me. YET. My boss gave me a raise. He does this every time I am ready to quit. And now he is thinking about putting me more full time in the health market which I like so that will be cool. I also found out that there is no way that the old garden center manager is coming back. So if I can hold out till the spring and as long as they open the position up to everyone (they should have to but Hy-Vee doesn't exactly do things correctly), I am totally putting in for it and hoping to get it. But if the dairy farm has a full time position-I guess I'd rather work out there.
Christmas was good. Both my brothers called. I got some very domestic things-a vacuum, pots, and an ironing board. There was some underwear, bracelets, magazines, books and other assorted things too. But no puppy. Maybe this summer.
I am reading this book about human-animal relationships. Its really interesting and I will post the notes and main points when I get around to it.

Well, let's begin this with some pictures.
This is my car post-accident. DON'T LOOK, JOE!

And seriously, did you think you'd get away with a picture entry without a picture of Marty Casey? Because you shouldn't have. 20050807_Episode_105B_0552.jpg
And you might wonder what's going on with Marty Casey? Well, I'll tell you. He's going on tour with INXS this winter. He is still with his band the Lovehammers except now its Marty Casey and Lovehammers. They are putting out a CD on January 24th, which would make a nice birthday present for someone (hint, hint) since she won't stoop low enough to buy it for herself without actually listening to the whole thing first. The tour will be in STL at (sigh) the Family Arena on Feb.1st and in KC on the 2nd. Here is the website if anyone cares: http://www.lovehammers.com

Xanga-December 16, 2005

So I really, really should be studying for this geology final that I need a 94% on to get an A in the class but alas, I am not. I'll make this quick-
Monday was the best day I've had for a long time. I woke up late and instantly called my mom. We had a good talk and then I went to work at the ASRC. I ground feed and rocked out in isolation. Then I had some ice cream, sold a book for $43, bought some art supplies and went home. Than night I talked to Joe and just was happy.
So Tuesday could possibly be the worst day ever-but secretly I think I've had worse that didn't involve trips to the ER. Anyway, I was going to shadow the veterinarian in Centralia feeling guilty that I didn't last week simply because I was lazy and it was cold. I drove down the hill to the stoplight and sat behind a car. The light turned green and I proceeded through the intersection. The next thing I know is that I am screaming and air bags are deploying! I got hit by a cement truck! After quickly accounting for my body parts and overall well being, I turned off the car, put it in park and looked around the truck to make sure that I hadn't ran a red light-no, still green. So there I was, sitting in my mangled car with a terrible headache since I hit my head on the door and a stinging cheek from a bitch slap from the air bag. Some lady-her name is Betty-asked me if I was okay and called 911. I was fine. Then another lady who was a nurse stopped and she thought I was okay. She called 911. We waited in the intersection of Providence for 10-15 minutes! (Seriously, folks what if I had been on fire?!) In that time, not one, but TWO city cops drove past without stopping. Finally, Columbia's rent a cop showed up and I crawled out of my seat since there was no opening my door. Five to seven minutes after that two fire trucks and an ambulance showed up. The paramedics put me in a collar and on a backboard and took me to the hospital. There I waited for hours (all the while needing to pee like a racehorse) for my pregnancy test results (don't ask) so I could get x-rays of my neck and pelvis (since my hip hurt) and then for the x-rays to be read. They determined that I was okay to go and gave me prescriptions for pain killers, muscle relaxers and a pass for a taxi seeing as that I had no car. My mom came and spent the night with me-she takes up more of the bed than Joe does. I feel okay-still a little sore but overall okay. The insurance company is moving this along very quickly-I got a rental car yesterday. I would imagine I will have a decision if they are going to total out my car or fix it (secretly, I'm pretty sure she's a goner) by next week. Saturday after work I am going car shopping.
The average life span of a car in my hands is between 14 and 20 months. This was the third car that I have totaled. But only one was my fault. Both of these last ones were because people ran red lights.
NOW I HAVE TO STUDY!

You can blame the snow on me. Sunday night, I got the notion to make some snowflakes to decorate my house. And whenever I do that, it snows. That's right. I control the snow...but very little else.

I am shrinking. Last year, I bought a pair of shoes that were size 7. Now you're probably thinking "So what?" So what? I wear size 7 1/2 perfectly. So perfectly that I rarely try on shoes...until I discovered that I am shrinking. The shoes that I bought a few weeks ago and am wearing now-size 6. WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE!
One day, I am going to have a show pony or a modern Shetland and name it Opportunity Knocks.

Xanga-December 2, 2005

Well, here I am again, wasting some more time instead of studying.
I've been eating alot of food lately. I think that I am doing the same thing the cows do-eat more when its cold because you need the extra energy and eating more provides more heat of digestion. Baby, its cold outside.
I finished reading Love And Death a while ago and I have concluded that I would of liked to know Kurt Cobain as a person-not a celebrity. He seemed really interesting. Everyone take note of this so you can say that [I would of liked to know him] should I die within the next 15 years or so. This is especially true if I become famous-for dating someone famous (Joaquin Phoenix is high on my list as is Marty Casey), being an actress (haha!), an artist or a writer. Unfortunately, being an expert on dairy cattle won't make you well known outside of perhaps the animal science/veterinary medicine community. Anyhow, that aside, I have also concluded that I am 90% sure that Kurt Cobain was murdered. And if that is true-I am 95% sure that Courtney Love had something to do with it and it wasn't a random act of violence. And I am 75% sure that that bitch did it herself. Those percentages might be a little low.
And since I mentioned Mr.Casey, you didn't think that you would escape without a picture of him, did you?20050724_Episode_103B_1447.jpg
