Xanga-May 23, 2006

Okay, I would of posted an irrestible picture of me holding the puppy but it came up as a red X. Not so irrestible.
This weekend was the best weekend ever...It was neck and neck with the freakend but then photofinished ahead of it. Here's why: Friday night, Amie and Martha came over and visited the puppy. Then Joe showed up bearing a milkshake that I had requested. Then I went to bed to get up and milk in the morning. Saturday, when I got off work, Joe and I ate at Shakesphere's and then went to the casino. I lost $25 dollars. But it doesn't matter. Then we went to the arcade and I played old school games such as Galaga and Joe schooled people in some other new fangled game. Then home for nachos. Frei came over to play with puppy and watch Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns (the one about TMBG and not porn) and Joe drank. I went to bed somewhere in there and left the two alone (unwise?). Sunday, I milked again. We took the puppy to the park and BBQed. The VM2 or is it 3? class showed up with their dogs and Riley meet so many people and puppies. Joe threw her in the lake! She had to swim out...she's not good but look at her legs! Then Joe went home, I napped and cried about being alone. I miss Joe.

I picked up Riley...at some point there are sure to be adorable puppy pictures. But for now be content in the knowledge that you arn't the one picking up her 'mistakes'...
And she may or may not be replacing a sudden desire to procreate in my life. That's still up in the air.

Xanga-May 8, 2006

I was told by Joe that there would have to be a long post about the Rock'N'Roll Super Freak Out Weekend but first I have to clear up some other details.
The week before last Joe sent me two dozen red roses. It was such a sweet thing to do even if I got three phone calls from Fed-Ex looking for my house.
The next day, I think, I went out to my car to go to work and it wouldn't start because I stupidly had left the dome light on overnight. So I waited around and had a towtruck sent to jump my battery. The $2.99 a month I pay for roadside assistance has been more than taken advantage of. Can I help it if I am an idiot?
I pick up Riley the puppy on Thursday. My house has already become an explosion of squeaky dog toys.
So here it goes...Rock'N'Roll Super Freak Out Weekend...
Joe came down Thursday night after he got off of work while I was still working at Hy-Vee. He was greeted with a dinner and a banana cream pie in the fridge. Then we went to bed once I got home because I had to milk the next morning. Once I got off work at the farm, I took a nap and then was woken up by some pizza. Then it was on our way to DeSoto where we picked up the crate for the dog. Then we went to St.Louis and proceeded to get lost...well, I say lost but it was really more that we wern't where we should of been and not that I didn't know where we were, on our way to get a hotel room. Then after skipping that plan (honestly, the skeezy motels were a little too skeezy for the afternoon and not being desperate), we went the round about way to The Pageant. Joe drank, I rocked. The show was good. Then we drove around St.Louis looking for a place to stay. After finding one that bordered on skeezy, it was bed time if you know what I mean...The next morning we went shopping some and I totally would of taken home a cardigan corgi (slightly larger, less hairy and with tails) from PetSmart but I have a puppy coming. Then we met Gabbi and Scott at the zoo for some wild animal fun! After that we went directly to The Pageant, where getting out of our car we were right behind who? THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS! Or at least most of them. Joe was giddy. Losing track of them, we wandered down the street and I spotted them and the red pants of the bassist at the corner. We followed them from a distance until they ducked into a resturant. Our dinner consisted of soda and chips. I also had some chocolate coated sunflower seeds which were amazing! The show was absolutly amazing and if you weren't a fan going in you would be leaving. We were really close in the pit but not at all squished. There were confetti canons! Joe was a complete wreck of giggles and goofy smiles. After the show, Joe got autographs from Flansburg and the bassist (Keep an eye on them red pants!) and we drove back into Columbia. Sunday was spent hanging around, visiting the dairy (check out Joe's pictures on myspace) and Martha.
This post I am afraid doesn't do the weekend justice. I'd probably check out Joe's blog on myspace because it is certain to be devestating.
