MySpace-February 21, 2008-Elective Picking, Losing Things, Dog Party, Ice, Other Stuff

Elective Picking-
Well, that is a very liberal use of the word 'picking'. Basically, it consisted of us deciding when we were willing to take electives/classes during our open blocks in clinics. What we actually get to take is based on who else wants it, when its offered and when your number comes up. I'm the 13th from last. I said that I wanted block 6-which is in the middle of summer open-I'm either going to work for the USDA or get married-they are pretty much the same thing right? Not that anything is heading towards marriage right now. Also the end of block 12 free right before I graduated. Then we had to pick seven electives that we were willing to take. I picked the two large animal ones and one equine. And then just repeated them again. Unfortunatly, I couldn't do that. I had to go pick seven different things. The two large animal, three equine and then large animal radiology and I think oncology. Luckily, I can change things later on.
Losing Things-
I lost my vet school id on Tuesday. I could of only lost it in one room. I havn't found it. Not having my ID means that I can't come to school super early to study like I normally do because I can't get in. Additionally, the lady that runs the lost and found isn't here and hasn't been at her desk before at any time I've checked. The other lady that can give me a temporary ID isn't here today either. UGH!
I then lost an earring. One that Joe gave me for Christmas. Luckily, I found it this morning in the shower.
Then I lost page 28 of my pharmacology notes. I found someone elses and stole that page.
Then I lost a glove. I found it this morning.
To be continued. I really need to pay attention in class.
Continuation...
Dog Party
Yesterday was Riley's second birthday. I invited all of my friends and their dogs/cats over for a dog party. I baked some cupcakes for canines and for humans. I made some dip and broke out the salsa. It was definatly lacking in the food department. I just really didn't think about it. Riley and Roosevelt wore some clown collars I made them. They were cute and even Roosevelt didn't mind. But he doesn't like dogs that aren't Riley. Lilly, the most innocent and cowering dog, showed up and Roosevelt was all poofy tailed and had his back all arched up. He got out of there pretty quick. Riley doesn't like people or other dogs too much. She hid under the bed until I forced her out. I had fun even if my animals were terrified.
Ice
So its sleeting and has been for a while. I was going to go and sleep at Joe's house last night since he didn't wake up to come over to my house but since it was going to sleet and stuff, I didn't. When I got to school this morning, I put a sheet on my windsheild so I wouldn't have to scrap it later. I used baggies of water as weights. I'm always thinking!
Other Stuff
I signed the lease to mine and Joe's new place. He was supposed to sign it today but I don't know if he will get around to it with the ice.
School is dumb.
I did some sucking up and asked a clinician about dairy stuff. I have a new program in mind for that free block mentioned above now-a dairy program at Cornell in New York. Pretty exciting.
I requested a temporary ID badge. It doesn't make any sense as to where mine went. It has my name on it. They know who's it is if anyone found it.
