Pony Power!

This weekend two of my ponies were moved from Missouri to Pennsylvania. My mom and dad left Missouri on Friday morning and got here Saturday at about noon. They brought with them Nell and Cody.
As far as I can tell, Nell and Cody are satisfied with each other sharing a stall and some hay. This morning, Joe and I went out and walked the ponies around. Then we worked them a little in a round pen to let the run and trot and take turns rolling. During our walk, Joe started out with Nell but she insisted on trotting and Joe couldn’t get her to behave so we traded. Joe likes Cody a lot so that will be good. Joe then tried to catch Cody in the roundpen but he wasn’t having any of it. I got some treats and Joe then finally was able to lure Cody in and grab him. We then worked the ponies over a pole before grooming them.
I think its going to be nice to have the ponies here. Time and money is going to become at a premium I’m afraid but we’ll work it. I have big plans for Nell and Cody. Mainly, I’d like to get both of them driving as well as getting Cody jumping. Maybe even halter obstacle too-he did pretty good over the pole. Joe of course is looking for any excuse to wear an old man’s hat. My goal is to get to take them to the World Show this summer in Ohio.
