As you may know, I'm going to Cornell for the summer. To facilitate this, I am missing two weeks of my surgery rotations (soft tissue surgery) to be made up upon my return (August).
I've been off since Wednesday. I have managed to mostly clean my room. I've spent alot of time asleep on the couch. I got my car fixed. I've watched some movies. (I recommend Changling. It was really good!). Yesterday, we dumped the dogs off at a kennel, relied on Laura to catch Roosevelt the escapee cat and went to Kansas City for a They Might Be Giants Show. We met up with Kyle there and ran into Ian (Rat) and Sara, his wife. It was a good show with the exception of this guy with a ponytail and a Dragon Ball Z silk shirt that stood in front of me and kept invading my bubble. Normally, I have a fairly small bubble and don't particularly mind people near me but there was something about this guy that just soured me. I wanted to punch him, cut off his pony tail and tell him to get a life. I was really freaking out and it ruined the entire show.
Joe and I spent the night in KC at a Motel Six. We at a midnight dinner at QuikTrip.
We had a good time. I will spend the rest of my time off before I go to NY avoiding responsiblity as much as possible.
