Xanga-June 12, 2006

Okay, here begins a full recap on the past two weekends...
Last weekend, Joe came down after work on Wednesday and Thursday morning we loaded up my 1000 things including a dog and rabbit and went to DeSoto. There we unloaded my 999 things from the jeep into the horse trailer/truck. (The rabbit stayed behind at home.) Then we loaded horses and piled into go to Illinois for a horse show with my mom. Once there, I decorated and we hung out. Friday came and Joe had to wear his elf costume with a very small horse. (See his myspace for pictures.) All I have to say about it is that he has some nice gams! Saturday, we did some more showing and Riley wore her dog dinosaur costume for her costume class. She won it and rightfully so. Then Sunday we did some more showing. You can see some of the pictures from the classes (including Riley and Joe's costume classes) online at www.coolshotphotography.com when they put it up. It was  good weekend. Joe and I both had Monday off and we took Riley back to the dog park and she got thrown in the lake multiple times. Tuesday, I went to work at the dairy and found a dead calf.
This past weekend, I went to St.Joe. I hurried up there only to make Joe's work right at 5 as everyone was rushing out. I meet tons of people-Joe's uncle Dean and aunt Nancy and the reclusive Aaron Friday night. I fell asleep on his and Penny's couch while Guitar Hero went on. Saturday, we went to the Glore Psychatric Hospital Museum and had 3 for $1.20 chili dogs from the most ghetto grocery store ever. I must admit though that they were good. Then we went to Justin's party. Frei had done a stellar job on making a prom backdrop where pictures were taken. I got drunk and Joe morphed into Sloppy Joe which is kin with Erickzilla if you know him. The highlight of that night might very well be Joe spilling a trashbag of popcorn. Not his first offense of the no spill rule. Sunday, we went to lunch with Joe's dad, Kevin and his wife Missy. That was fun. Then we picked up Alex and went to the river to go on the boat with Joe's mom, Jackie and her husband Casey (there was a lot of new people met this weekend) and Gabbi and Scott. That was really fun and Alex and I had never been on a boat before. We swung off of a rope swing over the river. It was terrifying. Alex and I did some serious bonding which could be confirmed by him wishing me the best day ever of my life and telling me that he loved me very much when we dropped him off at home.
My weekends with Joe keep getting better and better. I fear for the day when they either don't [get better] or I don't get to have those weekends at all.
So today, I am calling in at Hy-Vee and playing with the puppy that missed me very, very much this weekend. (I was already off at the dairy.)
