Xanga-April 6, 2005

Nell had her baby on April 1. Instead of Roxy, we named it Tinkerbell. Actually, my little brother named her. He never cares about the horses but went down and saw her and said that was what we should call her. Since he's leaving for Iraq, I guess that's what its going to be. Here's a picture:
This week its been a bad week for horses. Monday we pulled the third dead foal from its mother. That's always sad. It was premature too. On Sunday, a stallion that was here to be collected coliced. It was really bad. They took him to the clinic for surgury and he had a large colon torsion. They decided to put him down instead of trying to fix it. The final dead horse was #70 of the recipent herd. She couldn't walk one day and her knee was all swollen. We took X-rays (to be sent) and she had broke pretty much all of the bones in her knee (Quick! What bones are those?). So we put her down because she would never be a normal horse again.
Today I backed the vet suburban into a fence post. Not hard and it was the side of the bumper that was already dented. Dr. Matthews wasn't mad. So if you are keeping score its Fence Post: 1, Leslie: 0 and the other score is Cops: 0, Leslie: 2.
There was something else but I forgot it.
