Xanga-July 6, 2006

We'll make this quick notes instead of a full on story----
I went to Joe's the weekend before last for the night. Driving 6 hours round trip just to see your boyfriend sucks. He's coming down here this weekend. I am off from both jobs and am excited.
I called The Buzz to win some concert tickets. Caller 10 won. I was caller 4. Then I was caller 9. I suck but I have to work that night anyway.
I have been milking all this week. Actually since last Wednesday. It sucks as usual. I can't wait for Richard to come back from vacation.
I love working in health market. But the other night some lady came up to me and started telling me her medical problems and about going to the doctor. Just came up to me out of the blue. Hey, lady, I just stock soymilks.
Glenn Rehn quit Hy-Vee to work full time for the Democrats. Those asses! He is having a house warming party on Saturday night that I am baking pumpkin bread for. You should go.
Yesterday, Mallory and I moved some weaned calves from the hutches to the superdomes. One of the calves was named GI JOE. (All of the calves have registered names, I just come up with nicknames. This calf was named by a first grade boy.) This morning when we went to feed them GI JOE was MIA. We couldn't find her anywhere. Hopefully, she'll turn up. Alive.
The dairy bought ten Jersey heifers. I get to name them. I am thinking I naming them old lady names-Lucy, Ethel, Mabel, Hazel, Martha (!), Pearl, etc
Yesterday, this pathetic looking cat that I had begun to feel sorry for---sorry enough to buy a $1.87 bag of cat food for--got trapped in the parlor when they fumigated it. Needless to say we solved it worm problem.
The fourth of July was a madhouse. They had fireworks at the stadium which made Providence Road the ideal place to watch them. Unfortunatly, I had to work and of course got off and heading towards home as the fireworks finished. I hate people.
Also that morning there was a dead cat in my driveway that I had to pick up. Sadly, its final resting place will be the ditch because it was dark. I will pay for my lack of compassion by smelling rotting cat.
I am freaking out about vet school and about a ton of other things.
I am quitting my jobs a day early so I can go camping with Joe and his family. I am excited about that.
I finally got some info about school starting and about the retreat or as I like to call it-four days of awkwardness. At the retreat, men can't wear speedos and women have to wear one piece suits. That means some of the pressure is off of me! Its at a Baptist camp but obviously not the fun Baptists.
