Xanga-September 21, 2005

So last night was the finale of Rockstar:INXS, so this will be my finale of updates! Despite last week's difficulty, this week I had no problems with the TV, VCR or weather. They brought out all of the old people that had already been kicked off to remind us how many had gone before and how much I hated/missed some of them. Mig, Marty and JD all got to choose one song and sing it. Marty choose to sing Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' which he had already done several times very well. However, I don't think that song represents who he is. Then they eliminated someone-alas it was Mig! Then JD and Marty got to sing an INXS song with the band playing it. Both did very, very well. And then they announced that JD would be the new singer of INXS. Poor Marty, but I secretly didn't want him to win because I am content to keep him a secret. One would think that being on TV would make you not a secret but I don't think that very many people at all watched this show. Some other things-the last three guys all got Honda Civics. What a rockstar car! I think that Marty may be guilty of wearing eyeliner. My boss, Mark Dodds, watched this show intently as well. He fully expected Marty to win. I kinda did too but was hoping for Mig because JD was an ass and I wanted Marty in my pocket. Now every time I hear an INXS song at Hy-Vee, I'll cry a little tear for Marty. They were discussing the show on the radio this morning and I called and gave my take on it. I was on the radio-good times! INXS offered Marty the chance to go on tour as an opening act. However, I am wondering if this means as a solo act with the house band or with his band, The Lovehammers, from Chicago. Marry me Marty!
Last night, for having a test in geology today, I watched way too much TV. I watch (in addition to Rockstar:INXS) My Name Is Earl, which was pretty good. And I also watched The Biggest Loser, right after I had a hamburger, Sonic-size fry and Sonic-size coke from Sonic. And then I went on a guilt trip for a while. If I wasn't such a strong willed person, such an event (for the second week in a row) would of sent me to vomit the fast food up. But I am strong willed and why would I do that to perfectly good food?
Last Friday, I got my hair cut. Its very short.
Also last Friday, I went to Smoker. I had a good time-had four beers and was home (thanks to Amie) by 10:30. I can't wait till next year!
Somehow, the cold that I had been fighting to ward off for like a week and a half gained a foot hold on me and I was sick on Saturday and Sunday. By Monday, though, I was better.
Last week I had a food science test on Monday. On Friday, I had an astronomy test. In food science on Friday, the teacher announced the names of everyone that got a 100% or above. There are about 400 people in this class. My name was one of them because I had got a 100%. He wanted us to come down to the front of the room and get a certificate for free ice cream. While normally, I wouldn't pass on the chance for free ice cream, I wasn't about to embarrass myself either. No one went up. I would of if someone else had. Then Monday, we got back our astronomy tests. I got a 100% on that too! WOW! Today, I took my geology test and tomorrow my geology lab test. I can only hope to do that well.
