MySpace-November 5, 2007-Define 'Pet Hoarder'

We knew it would happen eventually. We knew that it would be more likely to happen since I flushed that fish a couple of weeks ago. We knew that eventually I'd get a cat.
Friday night, I went to dinner up the street and there was this cat, more like a kitten following these people. He didn't cross the road when they did and I was afraid he'd get hit by a car. I called him and found the most super sweet cat ever!
He's young. He's not fixed. He's orange/yellow and white and I call him Roosevelt.
I've done everything I can possibly do to find his owners. (His nails are super short-trimmed?, he's super friendly and litter box trained...meaning someone is missing him?) I had him scanned for a microchip, I filled out a found cat report at the humane society (the lady that possibly could be his owner didn't seem to think it was her cat nor too thrilled at the possiblity that someone had him), I put up posters, I put a notice on Craigs list (the newspaper was too expensive).
Anyway, I'm not as enthused with this cat as I should be. Joe enjoys this of course seeing something I wanted so badly blow up in my face so to speak. But while he declared I could get a cat but he'd do nothing except clean its litter box AND only if I was pregnant (so I didn't get the toxoplasmosis), he seems to like Roosevelt an awful lot.
I do like this cat enough though. Riley enjoys trying to herd him places but he's having no part in it. And I did get a sensual neck massage last night.
But eventually, this cat will need more than Special Kitty cat food and a borrowed litter box. Eventually, he'll need some flea control (as in yesterday), some toys, some shots, some neutering. I hate to pour all of this money into this cat only to have him belong to someone else. Someone else that won't pay me back for taking their cat's balls. So I'm going to wait till Christmas break and then do those things...except for the flea stuff. That will be today or tomorrow...

For those of you at home keeping score, its one dog that scared of everything she can't eat, one rabbit that's scared of nothing and one cat who might only be scared with the dog barks in his face.
