Let's see.
First, Bumblegazelle. Three weeks ago (maybe), Joe and I went to the Outlets in Grove City. Once there, I wasn't into shopping because it was cold, more crowded than expected and I wasn't feeling so hot about myself. I did however want to buy some tennis shoes because I was planning on starting my Couch to 5K program sometime soon. Anyway, I bought these shoes:
Little know fact: I don't wear tennis shoes. Like ever. In fact, Joe hasn't seen me in actual tennis shoes. Knock off Chucks, maybe but not anything more athletic looking than that. Bonus little know fact: I've never owned Nikes before. Seriously. If you knew my mother you might understand.
Anyway, while I really wanted pink or purple running shoes, I settled on these yellow and gray ones. My remarks in the store revolved around how they looked like bees and then that I would be fast like a gazelle. Joe's answer was logically: 'Bumblegazelle'. So now that's my battle cry. If you happen to follow me on Twitter, you will see me use that as a tag when it involves my running routine. That I don't have. What I do have is some running shorts/pants and three sports bras. I'm also wearing my shoes breaking them in today. I'll probably start running next week. Another week to break in the shoes and to find a race to run towards/in.

Work-its been work. Continuing drama with horses and foals. There is no way that I would ever want to be exclusively an equine vet. Horses scare me.
My surgery schedule has been over full.
The pregnant tech at work is having a girl. Her daily ultrasounds and lack of weiner had convinced us but not her. Also, she failed to eat the puppy dog tails I docked for her. (Cause that's what little boys are made of.)
I'm concluding that if work will have me another year, I'll stay another year. Its still an assumption but I'm pretty sure its a solid one.
Wednesday, I have a troop of boy scouts coming to visit the clinic. I'm making posters for them. I was way more ambitious about this project prior to starting it but I have two made right now.

I can't think of much else that has gone on. I've been busy but apparently not remarkably so.
Pinterest updates:
I made cake batter blondies and they were fantastic. Simple, few ingredients and delightful!

I made these salt and vinegar potates-they were okay. Not good as leftovers.
I made this bread-carmelized onion and spinach. I used half a red onion which turned weird colors. The bread was good but doesn't hold up well.

Caramel Apple Crumble was made for a tech's birthday cake. I made it in the morning and took it into work still warm. It was good though I changed it some from the recipe to make it easier on myself. It still wasn't super easy.
I am working on this project for CB's birthday next week. Its not going as planned. I have constant regrets over the book I chose as I'm destroying it. I probably (?) will have it done by next week! Cross your fingers!
I finally got caught up on Downton Abbey. This season was way better than last. WWI is so boring. LOL. Anyway, Joe and I also finished this season of Breaking Bad and are ready for it to start again in the summer. The Walking Dead has a few more episodes I'm sure. Its been hit or miss on quality. I'm still sending Joe live text messages thoughout the show. Figure like 30-50.
Today, Joe and I went to brunch at Iron Bridge Inn. It wasn't fantastic but was pretty good. I'm looking forward to going back sometime for dinner.
We got our taxes done. We have a nice refund coming. Sooner the better.
Regrets:
I'm reaching the point in my life (i.e. 30) that everyone is getting married, having babies and buying houses. The other thing that I have noticed is if these three things haven't happened (or lets say only the first or last have), is that people are jetting off on vacations. Granted, these people tend not to be veterinarians so they have more disposable income and more time. What's my point? I want to take a vacation. But not just time off and not just a trip back to Missouri to visit my family. (Though a trip to Missouri, Columbia in particular, without seeing my family would be a vacation.) But an actual vacation. Along the lines of 2011's Ocean City trip. That was a vacation. Unfortunately, Joe doesn't get vacation with this job though he does have a shut down scheduled for July. Anyway, I'm going to take some time off in May and not do anything. And then take some time in July and go to Baltimore with Joe. Maybe. Fingers crossed.

I'm also thinking about the fact that I'm not pregnant. (Or am I? I'm not. I think. I secretly hope I am because if I was, I wouldn't have to start this Couch to 5K thing.) What if I never get pregnant? Would it be so bad if Joe and I never have kids. Ugh. I know that's some pretty heavy stuff so I'll stop it.
I think that's all the catching up I need to do for now. I'm going to run (not literally) up to the office to feed my ponies. They'll be going to Missouri in the next few weeks.
