Xanga-February 6, 2005

The highlight of the past week was Monday's trip to McDonald's. The event happened roughly like this. It was roughly 5pm and we were all off of work, Ann was at the pet store (yet again...spawning Question: 'Where's Ann?' and Answer: 'At the pet store.'), and sitting around wondering what to do about dinner. Then Kayleen says, 'Does anyone want to go to McDonald's with me?' Seriously folks, we were in the car waiting before she finished the sentence. In true fashion that the members of The Ranch would be proud of, I raped that Dollar Menu with my handful of quarters. Good times.
The low light of the week was missing both Ludo and Ludo/ABJ's last show. I was hoping for a call from the Ludo show but Dave seemingly dropped the ball on his responsiblity and was left without. But he redeemed himself by calling at 12:15am (Florida time) and letting me hear the garbled song 'Sunburn'. It was a joyous moment for me-Justin asked me if he sounded like a robot or told me I did. I didn't really understand. Mostly because I was still half-asleep and figuring out what that noise was. However, my roommates were not impressed with my phone going off. I think however that this interruption in the night's sleep was founded. Rachel's phone goes off alot and Ann had left the red light to her gecko on. She did say my phone call was annoying and I wanted to punch her-alas, I have only been here 3 weeks. But also, she was the one that decided during my ABJ moment of silence and CD listening event (which no one showed up to) to take that time to simultanously talk baby talk to her gecko (I foresee a tragic accident involving the barncat, Lassie and that lizard) and talk to her mom.
Last night, we had a bonfire. While in Missouri, a bonfire consists of any wood not fit to be logs for a fireplace. In Florida, it is the opposite. Jose thought he had to cut logs-and he thankfully did. So we dragged up some straw and ate hotdogs and smores. It was fun. Three of the other interns from the main clinic showed up. We plan to have another one as there is no shortage of wood. I gave Ann the finger for mocking Ludo and she was really offended by it. What can I say....
That's pretty much been my week-minus the boring vet stuff.
