Xanga-January 31, 2005

I meant to write this yesterday but couldn't.
Yesterday was my day off-I did laundry. The day sort of sucked. Xanga was down (why this didn't get posted) and I broke a fork. The weather was really nice though-sunny and warm.
I found out the problem with DishNetwork. If the weather is bad (and sometimes even good) you can only get 5 of 400+ channels. One of these channels is VH1 but there is only so much I Love The '90s one can watch. (Hal Sparks=Queer As Folk?? I never knew, but mostly because Martha hoards that show like a squirrel hoards nuts for the winter!)
I'm broke. Somehow I thought that I'd be saving money by being here. 60-75 hours per week doesn't leave much time for excitement. Bills? I'd be paying them anyway in Columbia. And I figured that I would be making more at $250/week than I would at HyVee at $8.25/hour and about 20 hours per week. Somehow though, I went terribly wrong. A $94 heating bill isn't right! (MAKE SURE THE HEAT'S WAY DOWN!)
Yesterday, Jerry left for Texas where he'll be for training for 4-6 weeks before he goes to Iraq. There was a parade out of town and a ceremony the day before that supposedly was on the news.
I invite everyone to go to http://www.petersonsmith.com  There you can see pictures of my boss, Gene Hackman. No, wait, that's Dr.Matthews, not the star of Hoosiers (He was in that movie, right?) Also there is a picture of Dr. Mitts aka Mr.Rasch.
I'd likd to now discuss something I hate-Caslick's procedures. Now supposedly this prevents windsucking, urine pooling (neither of which I really understand) and dirt from contaminating the reproductive tract if the external conformation isn't good. This last one I do understand. But anyway I hate Caslick's because I think that they are barbaric. Let me explain-imagine having the lips of your vulva injected with lidocaine (to make them numb) and then slivers sliced off of both sides. Then sewn shut with a larged curved needle leaving only enough room at the end to pee out of ove and to be breed. And then before foaling, the vuval is ripped back opwne with large dull scissors. Oh, all of that-horses, not people. Don't worry.
