Well, thank God, school is finally out for the summer. That doesn't mean that I have seen the last of the school building though---here I sit in the histo lab. Ugh. Anyway, I think that this block went very well, I am expecting my best block grade wise yet-three Bs and two As. I worked pretty hard and am proud of myself.
Yesterday, I went on a mule event. We went to the Arrow Rock parade. The mules were very well behaved. We gave two rides down the main street beforehand and I drove for one of them. This also meant turning the mules around in a very tight space. They both were very good. We hauled the grand marshals of the parade-Johnny Whitiker and Jeff East who were in the 1970s version of Tom Sawyer that was filmed in Arrow Rock. The parade lasted all of nine minutes and was very hot. I'll post a picture of all of us in front of the mules.
The day before, Sarah Snyder and I drove the mules in the evening. It was a short but pleasant ride. I drove some and took the mules around the dean's parking lot while Sarah was inside.
Last night, I watched the fireworks from my window. They were set off directly in front of it. They were nice but not particularly impressive. And then all my drunk stupid neighbors set off fireworks next to my apartment. And this morning I woke to the mess they left behind at the pool and in the parking lot. Luckily, I didn't leave so no one took my spot even though the lot wasn't full at all. I know that if I had despite three spots six foot away, mine would of been parked in. I think Joe is rubbing off on me and making me old.
Joe is coming down for the weekend. My mom will be in town too for a horse show. We are going to try to get Joe to drive Opie our stallion in a driving class. Joe should be glad that we aren't going to dress him as an elf again! I'm excited to see him.
Next Friday, I am leaving for my vacation with my mom. Its going to be fun.
Today, I am cleaning my house, laying about, buying groceries and if Josh calls me, clipping the mules for Saturday-they are going to a wedding of one of my classmates. Honestly though, I'm pretty sure that Josh could do it by himself, esp. if he gets Jacob to help. I taught them last time so maybe they think that I should be there just in case. I think it turned out well the last time. Maybe a little shorter on their manes...
