Hello All!
I thought to myself a little bit ago that I was going to try to blog at least twice a week. Maybe on a Sunday while Joe is at the dog park and I'm enjoying my dog free time and then again on Tuesday, again during dog free time that I impose on our animals. Needless to say, its been harder to do than I thought.
Let me think if there is anything exciting to tell you all about. I had a mass to amputate on Thursday. A big ugly orange sized mass that was necrotic and ulcerated at the end of a tail. No big deal if the dog wasn't a rottweiler and thus only had a nub to begin with. I asked TH what he would do and he suggested referring it but I was already in too deep and thought that the Os wouldn't have the money anyway. Surprisingly, it went off without much problems.
Sunday, Joe and I went floating with a bunch of people from work. It was good times even if the creek was cold.
The pony is still being a brat about driving.
I was very busy with errands today. There was also an earthquake centered in Virginia. I didn't feel it.
Tomorrow, I am the only large animal vet on. It should be fine. TH said he'd be around. AND TS comes back to work from materinity leave! I'm happy enough for the two of us!
Okay, so here's the deal. For about a year now, Joe and I have been sharing a bedroom which probably isn't a surprise. It was a combination of relaxing about being on call, Joe changing his work shift and just it being nice. I still don't have my clothes in the closets or drawers though meaning every morning I wake up and go back to my own room to change. I guess that's okay since Joe is still sleeping.
Anyway, Joe's room was sort of sparce so I decided to redecorate it. Here are some pictures!
Since it was Joe's room afterall, I decided to stick with boy colors-navy, blues and white but am also doing a bird theme which I had intended on doing in an earlier room. This is our new bedspread that I got from Target online. Its not as heavy as I thought it would be and is sure to end up on the floor in a pile anyway. There are some pillows I made on it. A trunk that I got at an antique mall at the end and for Joe and Leslie O'Hootenstuff to sit on. That's my 'new' lamp on the night stand. There's a mirror that I added too.
Close up of the pillows.
Dog wall with a portrait of Mary that I had painted for Joe for Christmas.
These are some pictures that I ordered from Etsy. They are printed on old dictionary pages and I spray painted some frames navy. Total the prints were around $20. Unfortunately, they were from Taiwan.

After: So, I couldn't find a picture of a lamp online anywhere that would look this awesome. We spray painted it white and I bought a different lampshade which I covered in navy fabric. Total cost including lamp-About $25. Probably less, if I don't count the glue (Elmer's school glue) and paint that I had. I had some fabric but ended up buying some anyway.
I'm pretty happy with my new room...even if Joe said it was pretty much the same except now it had an ugly lamp in it. Pin it!
