Weekend

Well, not a lot going on around here this weekend. It rained all day yesterday and did some more today before becoming incredably humid. I like the rain. I wish it wouldn't be humid afterwards.

Yesterday, Joe and I went to Chinese for dinner and I suppose even though nothing else happened, that constituted our date. We were just hanging out around the house afterwards between rain storms when the neighbor comes pounding on the door. Apparently, her dog had gotten a face full of the neighborhood skunk. We gave instructions on bathing, eventually half a box of baking soda and our new bottle of peroxide and then finally I rinsed the dog myself. The whole house smelled like skunk but luckily seems to be mostly gone today.

Today, Joe did things off of his honey do list. Things such as hook up the TV and DVD player in my office, hang the medicine cabinet and wash Mary. Mary who after being bathed peed in the back room. I'm checking her for a UTI tomorrow but I'm certain she's just a bad dog. Now with the TV upstairs, I can watch DVDs and work on all those craft projects I have accumulated because of Pinterest.

Speaking of which, I am going to spend some money that I shouldn't and decorate Joe's room. I'm doing it in navy, white and blues since those are still boy colors but with birds. So far my ideas include: a navy and white comforter from Target, three bird prints from Etsy, the owl lamp mentioned in the last new post painted white with a new lampshade, a white mirror and some cloth bird pictures I will sew. Long term, I will have to work on a desk for Joe and maybe a headboard. A new matress would be well appriciated too. Maybe some curtains. Anyway, I know I shouldn't spend the money, I know there are other things I should buy or nothing at all but sometimes ideas just get the better of you. I'm going to hold off on some sewing stuff (minus the thread and maybe some fat quarters) until I get my current ideas situated out. Ugh time!
