What is this? After a long time in hiding, why has the beautiful Marty Casey re-emerged? BECAUSE I SAW HIM IN CONCERT LAST NIGHT! And he is beautiful! Not as beautiful as Tim Ferrell but beautiful. So anyway, first let me say that the opening bands were sucky. The lead singer of the second band was so full of himself that it made me want to poke my eyes out. I feel sorry for his bandmates. And the crowd, or lack there of, seriously, there was perhaps a third or half of what a Ludo show draws. I had no problem getting to the front and staying there. And the crowd? The average age was 35-40! Marty Casey's mom could of been there and no one would of been the wiser. This lady next to me had this pretty nice camera and a Blue Note guy came up and made her put it out in her car. She tried fighting with him and she was furious! Jeez lady, just listen to the man! And the old ladies up in front were seriously like 'oh, if I can only touch him!' and 'oh! I need a lock of his hair!'. I was seriously expecting some panties to get thrown. It was gross. His part of the show was good. Considering I know only one actual Marty Casey and the Lovehammers song, it was enjoyable. They played four covers including Paint It Black (I've heard better covers), Ring of Fire and Wish You Were Here as made famous by him in Rockstar: INXS. Despite the surreal feeling of getting to see someone that I followed all summer long on TV a mere 10 foot away on stage, I am done with Marty Casey. I can now put some closure on my love for that beautiful man. Speaking of beautiful men, here is a picture of the beauty himself: Tim Ferrell:
My mom has been super critical of me lately. She said I am a prude. And that my hair was too short. And that my ID picture was bad-it is.
Joe has been freaking out. Read his myspace blog for that insite.
Orientation for vet school was nerve racking to say the least. But I suppose that its better that what follows on Monday....VET SCHOOL!
Erick and his roommates who include Kevin and Darren, had a party Friday night. It had stormed and they didn't have any power. It was fun. I got drunk and slept on the couch. Its good to know that I can always crash at Erick's.
So the retreat at the Baptist camp. Despite all of my negitive vibes, I thoughly enjoyed it. Here are some pictures of the type of things I did.
Climbed that rope net.
Climbed that rock wall. Its as high as the rope net. And then to get down you have to go down a zip line! Scary. And then I did a bunch of teambuilding things which were fun. And then a bunch of lecturing that was boring.Okay, now I got to print my notes for school.
