My mom called this morning at 6:30am to tell me that Sunny, one of our miniature mares had finally had her foal. Normal gestation on a horse is 11 months. Sunny went 365 days. One year, 12 months. Sunny has had four foals for us. One on May 2nd and another one on May 1st. I called mom last night and she was pretty sure that Sunny would have it that night to make May 1st. May 2nd must of been in the leap year. Sunny waited and waited for May 1st so she could have her baby.
That aside, Opie, our stallion has had 100% black and white babies which is good. And Sunny's foal is the first colt. All of Opie's other babies have been fillies. Which is good too. Mom is blaming Sunny. I'm going to upload some of the pictures of the other two foals from this year-Penny and Maggie.
