MySpace-May 28, 2007-Fantabulous Weekend And Apartment Destiny Part II

So Joe was coming down for the weekend and I had big plans that were more than our normal sit on the couch and be domestic.
This is a fair warning that this is an intense and boring account of my weekend.
Joe got to my house about 4am on Friday morning! After sleeping for a few more hours, I woke up, made him breakfast, woke him up and went to school for three hours of mind numbingly dull classes. After class, I went and picked Joe up and we went to look at an apartment. He'd already looked at one studio apartment where I used to live and wasn't a big fan of it. We looked at this different apartment. He liked it as had I when all I had done was drive past it. Its near I-70 and 63 near the end of a dead end road. Its quiet and just past the seedy motels and gentlemen's club. Anyway, the rest of Friday afternoon, we at lunch at Panera and bought some clothes. Then chilled at my house to watch Jeopardy! before taking Riley for a walk downtown. We had dinner and then watched Spiderman 3. It was a long movie. I think it would of been very helpful had I kept my end of my promise to Alex to watch the first two some other time. I kept asking retarded questions such as 'where did he get his suit?' (Answer-aparently he made it himself and keeps it in his closet next to his running shoes.) and 'does he have clothes stashed all over the city?' (Joe says no, he brings them with him and then hides them, but I disagree)
Saturday, we had another three apartments to look at. And unfortunatly had decided to keep the appointment. But the agency was very unprofessional. They knew nothing about any of the places. One place was a two bedroom, when I had clearly told them I wanted to look at a one bedroom, they couldn't let us see the only place we were really interested in and couldn't tell us if another place with high utilities was gas and electric or only electric. Then we drove across town to see yet another place-this one actually wasn't too bad. But in our wake we left sleepy hungover college students and a deep resentment for the place called 443-STOP. Then we went back to the rental office for the place from Friday. There Joe signed a lease! Joe now has a place to live in beginning in August. I am excited. I am also freaking out. Joe knew this and called me on it no sooner than we were in the lobby of the  building. I can't help it! Its a big deal! I feel a lot of pressure and know while everything will work out that I NEED to MAKE it work out, even if its not my responsiblity.
After that, we went to the park and had an amazing BBQ with Riley. We took her to the dog park and she was thrown into the lake and played with some other dogs. Later we got a movie and ice cream. I feel asleep during the movie.
Sunday, Joe went home and I spent the day asleep on the couch. Today, I am trying to catch up on some homework and do some studying. I have senior-itis, well, I guess its more summer-itis. (An inflammation of summer. That's really only funny if you're in pathology.)

My rant for today-We all got an e-mail from one of my classmates trying to encourage us to go take exercise classes at the rec center where she teaches. She says that she hears alot of people say that vet school makes them fat and that its not true, we do it to ourselves. Well, as true as this may be, I don't like being told that I'm a fatty. I'll do that myself thank you very much. AND I might be fatter than you but at least my all of my shirts meet my pants. Stupid people in my class...
